Didn't get above 6.9C here today.

Now at -1.5C with a dew point of -2.9C.

I thought that the cold air had not arrived here yet?

MIA

Cold air not arrived yet, bbc go for wet morning tomorrow, high of 6C, then cold air behind the front, but many low levels won't see any snow, then the Atlantic strolls in on Tues night, and back to square 1, chasing fantasy cold

252....

BBC had me down for 0C tonight. I am already  down to PD -3.0C and -1.6C.

Looking is though the BEEB are missing something?

3.5C here, your skies must be clear, will mild up tomorrow as cold front moves in, then tomorrow night looks frosty

-1.1C here in Wolves, and still falling slowly, skies stil look fairly clear. Local BBC forecast had it set at +2 to +1C overnight, so slightly incorrect - again.

Up early for a cup of tea,

Cannot believe what the thermometer is saying.

Temp -3.1C     DewPoint    -4.9C      one of the coldest nights of the year.

Quote from BBC mild tonight -  colder  tomorrow.

It just shows that cold pooling can occur at this time of year, under clear skies and the right conditions.

Wind NE light.

Just feels as if I was dreaming last night.

Must be this 'snowblindness' again!:D

Yep BC..

Just turned to moderate rain here now and there bits of splat/slush falling as well. Looks as if we could see a few flakes shortly.

Temperature now at 3.1C with the dewpoint at 2.7C, but both now falling with  the rain.

 MIA

Edit - Just looked at the radar... turning to sleet just to the north of here.

Looks like snow over the Brecon Beacons.

Strange that. I wonder what the reasons for it being so cold in Solihull were? Over here in the East Midlands a raw night but not an overly cold one. Don't have a thermometer at the moment but I would guess a minimum of around +2 for Derby city centre at best.

Just got in from work, Sleet was showing on the car window screen.

Stopped now and brightening up

It was clear and moonlight (still?) at 04:00. - Centre of a slack area of low pressure. Well known for a rapid drop in temperature.

I must say I was not expecting it to be so cold. The wife also got up and said it looked like snow outside.

It really was white.

However all gone by the time I woke up at 9:30?:pardon:

Snowyowl9...

Interesting mine was lower today with a max of 5.3C and after the showers the wind was quite piercing.

Temp now at 1.6C with a dew point of -0.6C. Frost (ice) appearing on the cars now.

May well be slippery by morning.
