Whats this storm we're supposed to be having?

It seems that the met office will issue warnings, then nothing happens.

Good hope it stays away, hate autumn, not really meant to affect here that much, more northern Ireland

Very heavy rain and with gusts into the 60's just passed through here. A very wild 10 mins.

The wind here has easily been worse than what it was with eleanor i went on the school runs i would hazard a guess that gusts must have been pushing 60mph even down here.

Agreed. Much worse gusts over last hour or two than Eleanor. Seems to be a fair bit of snow forecast over next 72 hours on the netweather forecast :-) We'll see

Windier than Eleanor here too. Just been on high ground and sustained winds were high with gusts enough to push you, so at least 60mph. Love a good blow!

A gust of 67 mph here at 1621 and a mean speed of 41 mph, both higher than during storm Eleanor.

Could tell that here in Dronfield TM that the sustsained winds were far stronger for a start and the gusts were nearly enough to knock you off your feet at times.

A spell of heavy, wet snow late morning and early afternoon has given a covering of 3cm. It's thawing slowly now as the temp' has risen to 2.6c.

It was pretty miserable though and even with the mild temperature It seemed chilly with that rain.

Didn't get above 6.9C here today.

Now at -1.5C with a dew point of -2.9C.

I thought that the cold air had not arrived here yet?
