Predominantly rain, with the odd flake mixed in, temp still too high for snow, at 1.2C, be surprised if it turns, let alone settles here.

settling well on all surfaces, even the main road, could catch a few out, this.

Around 1/2 inch so far :-)

Visiting from the SE forum as I'm with family in Herefordshire. Very heavy rain here at 50m all day has just turned to sleet as DPs dropped to 0.7c. It was horrible seeing all the snow you lot had while I was stuck in the SE so hoping for something while I'm here!

Just sleet here. Sometimes there's a higher concentration of snowflakes within it, but it's mostly liquid water.

Snowing heavy still in coventry but struggling to settle..oh well at least it looks good falling from the sky

Yes, it's Heavy, all over the grass and cars at least. It was very wet before but I think as it gets a bit colder, we will get a good covering on the pavements too.

Based on the radar returns the West / SW midlands look in prime position-

estimates will be this stage 1-5 >50M 3-8 50-100M & 5-10 to around 150M

if you higher than 200M you may hit the magical +15cm jackpot.

Down in north west glos 100m, still sleety rain but I can feel the change in the air! (No weather station)  Ppn lightened but looking at radar we could well be in for some much heavier stuff soon and I'm pretty hopeful it will be of snow if and when it gets going.

Would it pivot? Seems to be getting through quite quickly, at this rate might not get more than 30 min of snow here in Coventry?

Yes it stops going north soon and starts to move easterly.
