Sleet joining together now on the front edge of the front between the Welsh mountains to the peak district on the radar.

The radar returns in terms of rain sleet & snow are not real ! They are model based

Nearby Wunderground only dropping very slowly, now at 3.6C, from 3.9 an hour ago, and dew point still at 4C...

Enjoy whatever you get, whoever gets some! I reckon after what Telford and Shrewsbury got in the last double-wallop, that'r probably us had our fair share til about 2020! :)

I still enjoy the lamp-post watching and chart-hovering, though!

According to the BBC weather app  only heavy snow from 11 PM to 12 AM after that it shows sleet on till 7 AM for this location  I don’t know how accurate the BBC weather app is so it’s just wait and see I suppose

2.8c here, still very much rain.

Temp 2.2C here now with a dp of 0.6C.

Another hour at this rate and snow should be falling - provided that the precipitation rate stays up.

MIA

2.4c here now

meh! DPs shot up in 2 minutes from 1.2'c to 1'6'c!! :-(

I think we can count that as bad data :p 0.4c every 2 minutes would give you a 12c dewpoint rise in 1 hour :p

just did a quick updated run on my poolsharkometer model (known as the POO Model) and it's downgrade time for Leicester and surrounding areas....6mm of warm rain, but right on the South Midlands/West Country border (aka the Kingdom of North Wiltshire) several meters of fluffy white snow is forecast in the early hours, I'll be sure to post piccies....in the mean time, enjoy the rain :drunk-emoji:

Just driven 80 miles south back to Brackley Northamptonshire  some sleet on the way Def all rain here. Guess this is where we need evaporation cooling.
