Off to shewsbury today see how much snow has survived and chrismas shopping.

0.6c min and clear currently at 0.9c,must of been more rain/sleet showers overnight.

Icy with approx 85% snowcover left.

Edit:Change in wind direction today N/NW and mostly sunny thank goodness after yesterday`s showery mess.

Just woke up and pulled the curtains aside expecting to be greeted by the colours of red brick and green grass, and what should greet my eyes but a dusting of snow. This is easily our most snowy period since March 2013, and we're only 1/6 of the way into this Winter.

This morning was a bit of a surprise, but the snow that fell was rock solid and sheets of ice on the road. Stoke was gridlocked again.I drove into the Moorlands and roads were white over but passable. Few inches up there. Even the gritter got stuck though!

I'm dreading the milder weather. I hate mild winter weather. It baffles me that so many prefer it. It's just horrid.

don't mind mild it if it's dry, love snow and cold though

It's ok if it's cold and dry. Mild winter weather is normally wet though.

Always a big difference between my work and my home. A distance of 3 miles. Completely clear at work but quite a bit of snow and a lot of ice where I live. Absolute ice rink. Very dangerous.
