Heaviest snow of the season here, easily beating Sunday's event, but failing to settle as yet.Pretty to watch though.

Midlands once again getting snow, you've had a great start to the winter snow-wise, west and north west midlands especially, right place right time.. BBC forecast very poor this evening, saying snow only on highest ground and no weather warning.

Ice warning did mention the snow risk. Albeit mostly above 200 m.

Stopped snowing but what we got is still there, if/when It freezes it'll be very treacherous, light snow cover on frozen slushy stuff.

Same here - the roads in the morning may be, er, interesting...

Stopped here now. Got maybe a centimetre or two on all surfaces now though as well as the various broken patches of remaining snow from Sunday's event.

Stopped here. Slight thaw setting in but the wind picked up and is cold. Roads weren't gritted tonight so bit slippy.

great way to start my night shift "DAD I'M STUCK" wife "GO DIG HIM OUT ON YOUR WAY TO WORK"

That apart was a lovely way to start the shift with a drive in the snow. Maniacs clogging up main routes so took the scenic way via lanes with virgin snow.

will that make it this far though? :)

There's only one way to find out... hang up a stocking on the end of your bed and go to sleep reeeeally quickly and, if you've been a good boy or girl all year, then in the morning, there'll be SNOW!

(It is just possible I've muddled up meteorology and Father Christmas there...)

Its bout stopped here now gave a thin covering of a cm or 2. Shame weve had so much rain inbetween each spell of snow. Would be looking at 40-50cms otherwise.

Fantastic bonus snowfall here! A good 2 inches in a about 45 mins, wasn't expecting that! Just shows you it's sometimes best to just look out of the window than staring at endless weather forecasts! A great start to the winter:)
