Yep just pop out and yes drip drip it’s all over folks ?

took your advice just checked outside and --- no drip, drip, still frozen solid everywhere, although snow was quite powdery struggled to

make snowballs, now its more sticky if you know what i mean, so theres some hope we might have a bit of snow first before it turns to rain.

BBC weather gives snow tomorrow night and at low levels for a time

Game over

Yes, expected though, great spell though here, but west of the region did best, over a foot in the west, now to model thread, no more snow due this year, but chances of a cold inversion high, showing on ECM and GFS, hope it happens, can create very chilly temps, not sure if any snow will survive though until Monday

No snow melt here in Stoke today which is great but noticed snow melt in Birmingham where it was warmer. Still nice and fluffy especially over the fields. Temp was -1C around 3pm.

Raining now :sorry:

Indeed, shame. Though since we did actually have snow Thursday night into Friday lying on the ground, I'll take that 5 days of lying snow. I'm sure some will survive this but it'll turn to a slushy mess so I don't count it once rain has fallen.

This location is a mile from me and is located on the Tameside Greater Manchester / Debyshire border at around 130m.

Interesting.

Since my earlier post, the snow symbols have been replaced with sleet ones.

One can only hope.

Atlantic has broken through, Friday wasn't the best, we were too far east, just 2cms, Telford/Shrews had 15cms

Grrrrr!! Current temp 1.2c dew -0.1c and it's raining lightly! Ridiculous. Knew rain would win out tonight but it would have been nice to see a bit of snow on the very leading edge. At those temperatures, I would have expected to see sleet at least :nonono:

Rain seems to be freezing on contact with paths and untreated roads.

Its now turning to sleet.

0kay if we have a high toppling in, and centres near enough to the UK, will keep things cold

The only saviour for some people's snow cover especially wer ppl have had 20cms odd is this band is sweeping through very quickly.

Very light drizzle, not touching the snow cover at all, ground is still frozen and not slushy. If it clears behind this it'll freeze again...

Just looking at radar, massive holes just east of the Welsh mountains, and it'll be through soon the rate it's moving.

Was in Knowle as the rain started about 6:45...

 Back home...

Temperature now at 1.1C,  dew point is still -0.3C, here with spots of sleet in the rain.

It is possible that it could turn to snow again.

The snow is not thawing yet, but it is no longer that lovely light, soft snow that would not bind. It is becoming hard and crusty. .

No drip, drip here yet, but the roads are getting wetter.
