you mean Jan '13? was similar this, was proper snow at least here

January this year. Had a Cheshire Gap Streamer. Was very localised. Didn’t actually measure the snow but it seemed deeper to walk in.

So 16 hours later and it's still snowing, but snowing as lightly as it has at any point today so I'm thinking the end is nigh, even if the MetO do have us down for heavy snow in the early hours!

Proper flakes falling again here now. If this is the beginning of the heavy snow forecast for 10pm onwards then I’m impressed with the MetO’s timings!

I said earlier, if only this had happened in two weeks time it would've been happening on Christmas Eve, would have been special!

It's only "snizzle" but still coming down here!

That must be 18 hours solid snowfall

It was lovely when it fell but a right mess the next morning.

Looks like the northern edge of the front is intensifying as it comes towards me.

Went out to catch some of the last of the falling snow.

He must have thought the snow had finished as it briefly eased. Now he’s gone back indoors and it’s chucking it down haha.
