met office radar struggling to get on that.

Was looking at Net weather radar. I agree it’s not clear, but the intensity here hasn’t dropped like other places into north midlands.... yet!

The snow has more or less stopped here now just north of Derby and the flakes were very small at best.Seems we were right on the northern edge of the system here with a pathetic 3cm of lying snow at best.

Snow is quite light now. Gritting company will not be out until later as they expect another dumping after 12? Not sure how they've come to that conclusion!

11cms but looking around the thread this seems fairly modest compared to some.Good to see families enjoying this on the fields at the rear of our street.

Stay safe and enjoy everyone.:)

We're snowed in. Track to the lane is a 200m long snow drift. Last time this happened was Jan 13.

I said this earlier that the BBC TV weather was say that heavier fall for Wales and the West Midlands still to come and maybe this is what they were referring to ?

It was obvious even yesterday this would happen and it did but they still insisted on an amber. Maybe the very south west of Staffs is bad near the Shropshire border but everywhere else is fine.

Even on the border there was only about 3cm extra this morning

Same - 400m of knee high snow with drifts 2-3ft deep.  Not going anywhere until a tractor comes down.

I don't see where they got that info from, it's stopped here now, and that radar shows that empty space growing with every frame.

Snow has fizzled out here but yes agree the front will pivot West to East bringing further snowfall into the evening from early afternoon onwards. You can see this on the BBC graphics
