Six inches! Where are you in south staffs, i am Gentleshaw and have no where near that.

I am near Wombourne and Wolverhampton. So just in South Staffs council. You are further north than me. It seems to have made all the difference. My brother lives in Cannock and has less than us.

Very heavy snow here, and it looks set to continue.  All roads, even the larger roads on the estate are covered and no traffic.  It's getting to over the heights of where the kerbs are on the roads.

Crazy how just 20 miles can have such a profound difference. Oh well, enjoy mate!

Amazing conditions here in loughborough! Very heavy snow with a strong northerly wind but what's better than that was my 3 year old daughter's face when I opened the curtains! Time to build a snowman I think! :yahoo:

We've got 4" of snow already, and judging by the radar, it's going to keep coming for hours and hours!!

I am restored!!! :D

I wonder if there'll be power disruption. Not too bad here, but maybe somewhere between me and wherever it comes from?

The snow has certainly lost a lot of intensity over much of the region not that it was ever particularly heavy wer i am. Still rates of 1-2cms per hour will add up providing it sticks around till mid afternoon or longer as suggested by some models.

That’s a fair point so charge you’re phones now before the power goes off. Then we can all stay on here using the 4g.. ?
