Been out there very heavy snow and the drifting is bad amazed the Met didn't warn people about this. Wind about 30mph.

Er... there's been an Amber Weather Warning for several days now covering the West Midlands... so they sort of kinda did, really...! :)

Like a little blizzard here in Solihull. Some gusts of wind blowing the little things (flakes) about all over the place! :cold:

Slightly heavier now, biggest snow event since Boxing day 2014 so far. Not sure it will overtake it though, got about 5-6cm from that.

Small video of the snow in the garden here at about 7:30am just as it started getting light :)

well that was an interesting shift! Chucking it down here looks like it's going to last well into the day aswell!! Dreading tonight though! No fun filling up a shop on your own ?

Dissapointing for me in chesterfield but it does look to be intensifying on its northern edge. Met still giving heavy snow from now until 1pm here

Met office warning has updated. Almost all of the midlands still in amber and even I am still comfortably in the amber zone

Moderate snow here but the real snow is not moving far enough north to get me. Disappointing.

Sorry about the crappy photo but you get the general idea.

I can confirm on my travels to the meet the front driving conditions became bad/next to impossible around the outskirts of Leicester with around an inch already accumulated on side roads- roads became pretty much undriveable. Was tracking the front on the radar and wanted to drive into the heavier PPN but couldn't continue on the route. I have plenty of photos which I will upload later.

Followed it back to Grantham where it's just getting started so seem to have timed it perfectly.. All in all very enjoyable 3-4 hours drive but conditions were already becoming dicey with some roads unpassable (especially for unfavoured vehichles) so it's going to be a long day for some.

Seems to be getting slightly heavier here now, but still moderate at best. We'd be buried by now if this had been heavy snow since half four this morning.

Same here, seems to have got heavier in the last hour, really coming down now. Temp and DP have slightly dropped as well.
