I personally hope the South Midlands get the most they always miss out including yesterday. We had a good few cms here yesterday so if it does go South fair play to them and expect to see some nice snow pics. But it's pretty clear all the Mids will see some snow wether it's a dusting or a bucket load. Good luck people.

I was in Worcester for some of today and it was really striking how little snow there was compared to just 15 miles north in Bewdley. On untouched car surfaces there's still around 5 cm lying now despite a decent amount of sun today, but in Worcester (even the outer suburbs) it was icing sugar stuff.

As I said yesterday, I've had an unexpectedly good result from the streamer showers, so I'm really rooting for those places that have missed out to get a good result tomorrow. :) The only thing I really don't want is sleety slushy rainy mess, so the precip going too far north and leaving me just into the slightly milder air would probably be the worst outcome for me. (And south Worcs/Gloucs, the places that miss out so often unless they're at altitude.)

But even if that happens, I won't be too downhearted, as 8-9 cm for Bewdley is the sort of thing we only get once every few years. I've had a result. Here's to as many Midlanders as possible getting something exciting tomorrow! :)

Well, the BBC National TV forecast gave Birmingham to Sheffield as an example of an area where significant snow is likely. No idea how old the data they are running off is though.

That ties in well with the GFS chart I posted earlier.

Really don't know what the North Midlanders are worrying about. I'd rather be in Derby/Notts than my current location of Northamptonshire in this situation. Less borderline than here.

I’m sure this is nothing to worry about but temps seem far higher than forecast, 1.6c in Solihull currently, supposed to be -1 at 9pm according to original forecast earlier??

i think I might, just depends on alcohol consumption, and then the house gets really cold late on, and the warm duvet is a beckoning, might set the alarm for 3.00am for

a quick peak at radar, haha

Not going to bother. Will wake up early just in case but probably throw in the towel and go back to bed.

-0.8C in Wolverhampton at the moment, cloud is breaking up here now, temp has dropped 0.3C in the last 15/20 mins, so it's just patchy cloud.

Rain just moving into the far west now should be near your region between 3am and 5am where it will readily be turning to snow

Hope so, it’s warmer now than it was at 3pm! Dew points still sub zero though.

Not the stuff off the SW of England, but the stuff to the SW of Ireland is.
