Still got hope for those of us further north. Like I saw somewhere above, the precipitation looks further north than shown on the models, and I'm still under an Amber warning. Events like these are always unpredictable and a slight change could be the difference between 2cm and 10cm. All about seeing what happens on the day!

Well, if it stays the way it is now and the mild sector doesn't shift North by 50 miles or so, I reckon Northants could be in a bit of a sweet spot! 10-15cm :)

Lets hope so nothing decent here since March 2013

Lol burton never has snow.  Always just above or just below or like a horseshoe around here like thursday..

Mate, i'm telling you now, Burton will get around 5-10cm, maybe more. I'm certain of that.

Its funny cos when i look at the accumulation charts half of leicester gets over 10cms and the northern half just over 5?

Rushden looks pretty decent... So long as it doesn't shift another 50m south, should do quite well :)

That looks bang on and pretty much what goes with ECM 12z output

Don't get my hopes up too much :D. Seriously though, it's not how much it snows, so much as how much is left on the ground when it's over. Here's hoping for loads. :drinks:

Met office update at 7pm for tomorrow on Nottingham / derbys border still very much as it has been all day , heavy snow from 8am till 1pm then light snow till 6pm

They seem fairly confident of snow fall north Midlands ?

A report on the MAD thread that they have not produced the short term charts yet.

I suspect a good deal of  this :gathering:  is taking place....

This should give you an idea for us in the Walsall area. The snow starts around 4ish though, just mentioning that as that isn't on the image.

I don't think models will nail the track until we're at T0, in a few hours :), it will be now casting for sure.

So that's heavy snow from 4 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. Yes please :yahoo::snowman-emoji::santa-emoji:.

Oh and light snow till 4 the following morning. 24 hours of snow. Oh yes. Please be so.
