True, but the radar is the best it's been all morning, looks like another good hour or so of heavy to moderate snow fall. will be Cms on the ground by the time this latest part of the band passes over.

Went for a walk up the beacon hills after working all night- deffo worth it ❄️❄️❄️ Streamer looks good for this area in an hour or so aswell!

Very true it's defo sticking now. I can't wait till Sunday  now that looks even better

I urge caution shaky, this thing is heading ever more south, and we know how the gfs likes to overcook low pressure systems, wouldn't be surprised if we end up too far north.

Almost 7cm of lying snow here and nearly cloudless. Very Alpine looking in a modest sort of way.

I'm looking forward to it and also not. At 4pm today got to try and get out of town to drive to London for the weekend, pray there is not too much Snow so the STFC vs Milton Keynes Dons game is not called off and then travel back to town in the worst of Sundays snow! Extra supplied and a blanket being back just increase. 

Oh and that's with two kids 6 and 8! Should be a mad weekend!

It was nearly cloudless when I went out - twenty minutes later it's coming down dinner plates again... some flakes over half an inch across! My footprints have almost gone already - we have about 3-4 inches, I reckon, so 7-10cm, at 150m asl and still coming down heavily...

Oh shucks, we have errands to run this afternoon best done on foot, oh dearie dearie me, what a pity, never mind :D:D:D

My goodness, it's even white down here! The sun's back out and just a few flakes in the wind now, but we have snow. Real, genuine, snow. Only 1-2cm here as things stand, but I'll take it! :D

It is worrying that it keeps shifting south. But after today don't mind as much just look how many more showers are heading our way through today and tonight. Nice little event.

Yes!

 

Sunday/Monday looks like it could be great, but as usual a marginal one, could also end up just being a very  cold damp squib.

Really sunny here now. 1c and a slight breeze.  

So what are the chances of those showers popping up on radar meandering more Eastwards N Warks, South West Leicestershire-ish??:nea:
