BBC weather is showing an upgrade for us here in Shrewsbury, hmmm. Snow from early hours & all over weekend?! Sunday was previously rain/sleet. I'll eat my hat if TF4 in Telford doesn't get it!!!

We're TF3 but I've to walk up to Lawley on Friday afternoon for an errand so if we do get serious snow I might just hike a bit further over to the southern end towards Horsehay for you and take a pic or two of the Steam Railway line from the bridge!

The BBC app is a joke really. It's up and down like a yo yo. It started off as 15 hours heavy snow. Went down during the day to 3 hours  now back up to 12 hours heavy snow  don't take no notice of it. Look at radar and of course lampposts

Exactly.

Ignore bbc/two any other computer generated forecasts now.... the radar is the best forecaster from now on.

If we're already radar watching then there already pokey little showers to our north and far more menancing, larger ones a bit further up.

Reports of hail/lightning within them so already looking interesting before we even get to the 's' word.

Dunno what kind of weather, but there does appear to be Some Weather on the approach already, going by the NW radar...

Jokes aside the midlands could be in a serious situation!!that 72 hour ecm chart looks crazy with the snow!!but hey im not complaining!!

I thought I was being a bit melodramatic suggesting my chap get the major shopping this evening on his way home instead of leaving it til the weekend....!

Ah well, plenty of supplies if we are snowed up!

If the ecm is correct, 30cm of snow looks likely across the Midlands. However, there is too much time left for a 100 mile shift here or there.

Im in harborne mate. Not too far! Quite an exciting spell for our neck of the woods eh. We're helped by our area having decent altitude.

Well it's raining here now (or at least drizzling) though I imagine if we get snow it won't be until later tonight.
