The Beast finally showed up this morning, lots of heavy showers and long may it continue. -4 here currently, between 2" & 3" in total. Not quite 2010 but good fun nonetheless!

Amaziing sight here watching the wind blowing the powder snow. Something you rarely see here.

Same in Lincs. Just stopped snowing and radar clear for a while. Definately the most snow here since early 2013 and may even top that. Really blowing around though. It is about -3 to -4 so bloody cold but not like at TEITS' house. That is just a bonkers temperature

Pretty wild day with very impressive drifting.  Photo below taken alongside the B1200 between Manby and Saltfleetby where visibility was about 10 feet in places.

Not long got back from scopwick drove across Martin fen from south Kyme and the conditions are horrendous compacted snow covering ice, blowing wind causing drifting across the roads plus at a few locations on my journey near whiteout zero visibility due to the snow falling punctuated with snow blowing off the fields. I suspect tomorrow will be another difficult day getting around the region

-6 and a fresh covering from late last night as we got caught in a streamer for quite a few hours after dark. Snow day for the kids finally, so we’re off sledging. Needless to say they're thrilled ?

Can't get out of town southward again today due to drifts and accidents so another snow day. Where has the snow on the radar come from? Meto app says dry all day

Back at Saltfleetby today and the key feature is the wind strength, we’ve had sustained wind speeds of over 45mph for the last two hours with our highest gust of 57mph.  It’s painfully cold out there today, so of course there’s a flood alert for the coast this evening.  Working that is going to be tough.

morning all, well after a brutal cpl of days things are very slowly begining to improve, temp upto 1.7c which is almost 3c higher than forecast, still very windy but hopefully that will also begin to ease as we go through the day.

an upgrade in the forecast for here, well if you dont like snow that is, a bit of rain overnight, then a chilly, cloudy but dry cpl of days then warming up again, no snow forecast at all, which to be fair wont hang around anyway so might as well not have any.

What forecast are you getting that from, because the local radio and TV forecasts have both identified a snow risk from overnight tonight.

Not here, they're not.  I guess I forget how big a county Lincs is.

Very wintery evening here, with snow settling and it's very windy with a biting chill.  Only a dusting at the moment, but the radar suggests a decent covering overnight.  Feels like mid-January.

Been snowing moderately for quite a while now. Radar looks fairly well loaded as well. Just been out for a walk and is extremely cold in the wind. Hard to tell how much snow there has been as being blown off any exposed surfaces.
