Interesting - there's been a fair amount of speculation that La Nina may well see milder unsettled conditions after mid-December, as hinted-at a few days back by @Tamara, yet this forecast seems to suggest that the ENSO Index might stay sufficiently close to neutral to allow for greater MJO and QBO influence.

secondly, i'll take anything except a repeat of last winter so fingers crossed

Good luck with your guess in how the winter will pan out.One of the many long range winter forecasts has to be correct.Maybe your guess will be:pardon:

Be nice to see a decent Easterly in January .Its been a long time.
