It does that every so often but usually only lasts for one frame, check in 5 minutes

Indeed, it's OK now.  If that's accurate, the sleet is changing to snow around 10 miles south of me.

Euro4 showing heavy snow in our area this evening, and settling too. Why no mention of this again by the media, or am I missing something.:cc_confused:

How many charts have we seen like this over the past few years.

They’ve nicked our cold again :nonono:

Yes your right of course, I was thinking the same thing. Typical, and this is why I have not bothered posting in the Models thread, happens every year.

Best chance to see a few flakes will be this evening and tonight for quite some time to come I expect.:nonono:

Just for refernence guys. Today, for most of us, it snowed. In Autumn. In unfavourable conditions with models that showed nothing of the sort.

This is why I love winter, the computers and the experts can all sing from one hymn sheet, but the lamppost is the true bearer of news. We’ve already smashed last year by 2 clear months. I’ve had as much snow in Autumn as I had all winter, we’re already up.

Lesson being any HL block is nearly always corrected east and south by about 400miles.

Good luck to anyone that’s got snow tonight, enjoy it........

It's rain and sleet here AFAIK.

Yeah it looks like it's not turning to snow until it's well inland now

The showers are weakening a little but I don't think they'll fade completely, most of our region should see something in the next few hours

On Twitter I see folk saying they’ve died out checked the radar tells a different story drives me to despair...a slight weakening but enough to reach south of the river IMO.

if only it was -10 uppers with a direct easterly with a trough sitting just east of the coast... oh.. one can dream

November 2010. Kent Streamer went on for about 36 hours, constant snowfall. Left about a foot and a half of level snow here, I was probably awake for about 45 hours because I didn't want to miss a single second of it.

Best snow event of my life and unfortunately, it's one that I'm now going to compare every single snow event to.

I remember well... Great winter. But we most remember how rare event that was for our tiny island...
