I wonder when the south east would actually get any kind of decent snowfall, maybe in 5 years. Hasn't snowed here properly in over 4 years.

You’ve obviously been unlucky ?

had 4inches here over the weekend so the SE certainly got some recent snow. Hopefully your time will come in the new year.

Light rain here and temperature rising from when the rain arrived. Was down to 2.5 at ten to eight, now up to 3.3

Doesn't look likely at the moment :-(

The showers moving in behind this front currently passing over London is turning more wintry by the minute.

Temps beginning to drop quickly after that rain band passed through a couple of minutes ago.

Had a very heavy burst of rain pass over about 10 minutes ago, no snow at all.

It's the showers behind that band of heavy rain that are turning more wintry. Look to the WNW on the radar and let's hope it keeps building.

Just rain jere, would assume this front is a cold front, with the cold air behind it anyway, there is always at least a trough were the air changes. The cold will set in quite quickly once it' passed.

Plenty of reports of heavy snow that's settling in the Midlands and NW England. Wonder if we'll see anything down here?
