Large pinch of salt and often as much use as a chocolate teapot but something to look at

If only it were heavier ppn, we would have more chance. The daytime temps will no doubt scupper any immediate settling, but it's an upgrade.

Can confirm we have snow falling here. Half of what fell today has melted so hopefully everything will be white again tomorrow :)

Gritters out at the moment in Croydon and again at 05:00 hrs treating both primary and secondary routes. Tonight's temps will go down to -2C and then fall down to -6C by approx 06:00 hrs. Temps will remain below 0C tomorrow until approx 12:00 hrs and then steadily climb to a whopping 1C for the rest of the day ?

I noticed earlier in the thread that there was some debate about vehicle inertia, 4x4 and the rest of it (car drivers). Lets think about doing doughnuts with a DAF puddle jumper. Respect to the best, MACK 6x6 long may the memory of the best, live forever.

Watching that blob move down across Norfolk into Suffolk reminds me of blob watching in the summer when we are willing the storms our way from France!

Wind here is NW so those showers unlikely to reach here. In fact our line of showers can be clearly seen missing to our east.

I have heard three rumbles of thunder in the last ten minutes!...Nothing falling from the sky but snow hasn't melted yet so no complaints.

I am sorry Reindeer Marmalade I am just excited! If I had believed the met forecast etc I would have gone to bed hours ago. Just goes to show never give up hope. The other half convinced me the rumbles was the boiler! I said only if its about to blow up lol. I don't ever remember hearing thunder with snow before. Looking at the radar wondering if any of those showers can join together... I don't know what I am talking about mind you. :pardon:I hope you get something soon mother of dragons, maybe one night later this week?

Uh oh made the mistake of peeking out..slight melt on hard surfaces and dripping from gutter. Going to bed and will pretend that didn't happen.

How, hasn't the cold got to you yet?

I would have expected it to be ice.
