on he wearher map higher up on this page. just looked at weather outlook snow map for tomorrow evening and were covered with the white stuff

If you mean the one showing stuff coming in :)off the North Sea, the pink represents snow and the green is rain/sleet...I think.

The Arpege is the ‘sensible’ model vastly different to NMM. Unbelievably I have accumulation very slight so do I prefer this model possibly. :whistling:

I'm more of an enthusiast than an expert, S. Especially where newfangled charts are concerned...:D

How reliable is this, we will be travelling south from Dieppe tomorrow afternoon to les Mans.

its alright if you are looking out your house window, but a three hour drive might not be such a good thing!

Tonight I'd have thought, though I doubt your area will see anything other than rain.  What might be a problem is if that rain then freezes later tonight.

Yes, icy pavements are a problem.

Great video by the Met Office here. Not just because they show a whole rash of showers for the SE on Friday but it actually shows some computer models and talks about their current thinking. Hope we see more technical videos coming out from them.

Meteo France are forecasting showers of snow in the far E of France, with rain, sleet or hail elsewhere. Chances of thundery showers along Channel coasts and windy across N/E France. Temperatures of around 3-6C. So those charts don't look too accurate, good news for your drive (safe trip).

And, with the temperature having (despite long clear periods) remained steady at 4C for four hours, I think it might be best to take all the promises of snow, with a huge pinch of salt...I'm guessing that, come the morning, either sleety rain or nothing at all will be the way of things...

Och weel, there's always next year!:lazy:

It's finally dropped to 3C here lol, I'm expecting snowmaggedon. Thought the temperature would have dropped far more, it has been clear here for a few hours now.
