Woke up to a lovely sunny morning but there has been no sign of frost even though the sky was completely clear last night. The temperature now at 10:16 am is 6.8 °C  with a wind-chill of 4.9 °C .  The humidity is at 79%  and there is a light breeze with winds of 6.0 mph and coming from a southerly direction.  The barometer pressure is at 1028.0 and is slowly rising.

Beautiful, sunny and cold.....as Stainesbloke says, perfect.  Bit of a 'blip' tomorrow, then back to cold and hopefully crisp.

Looking forward to later this week as some of us more to the east of the region might see a flake or two of snow.

Kind Regards

Dave

Yes, a definite upgrade.

Quite unusual for the MO to mention the white stuff on the 16 to 30 dayer so they must be seeing some fairly strong signals.

Looks like some of us could even see some thundersnow; thundersleet may be the order-of-the-day, in the Triangle of Doom, however? :shok:

It’s starting to feel a bit like Christmas........

I wonder what we’ll be getting this year? Hopefully a lifetimes supply of snow. Another wonderful wintry feeling day. Polar Maritime air mass is one of the top directions for the UK in winter, albeit not for snow in the S/E.

Yes the Countryfile report was a bit meh for us down here but still couldn' write off the risk of a sudden wintry shower surprising us - but nothing like Nov 2010 though, lol!! Ah the memories!! But I don't feel this is the end of cold weather, think we'll have more to come. Let's hope!!x
