And surprise, surprise, once inside the M25 it’s sleety and no snow settling to be seen anywhere. Orrid!

Less marginal than last time it appears last time the light precip consisted of rain and sleet. Coming down not bad nice to have the wind too blowing it about!

Somewhere close to an inch here and still coming down. Looking at the radar it looks as though the heaviest of it will head in over the next hour or so

Really heavy snow in Cambs, everything quickly white!

Hello 80's Weather,

My grandson who lives in Godmanchester is staying with us for a few days over the Festive period and is disappointed that he is not back home enjoying the snow. We have just cold wind and drizzle with a few odd bursts of snow, but none is settling. Please ensure it stays on the ground until he returns home tomorrow.

Kid Regards

Dave

It’s trying, one moment it’s rain, then it’s snow, then sleet. Try harder...

About half an hour ago it was snowing quite heavily at Watford - trying to settle with a white/green surface outside - temp plus 1 C but very wet stuff - eased off a little now, temp up by 0.1C - quite marginal really.

Travelling up to Loughborough later this morning - there doesn't appear to be anything much up there, wondering whether there will be more over the Chilterns in the Luton area?

However suspect the M1 will remain clear.

Big fluffy flakes coming down nicely blowing about that’s more like it if it’s snowing like this here then surely it can snow anywhere just be a little patient. :)

Morning all,

Trying to snow here in Lee, London, SE12, now. Very blustery, bitter wind out there, too.

Regards,

Tom.
