Another day of far too much food and drink, fun :drunk-emoji::santa-emoji: Definitely need a long walk/run tomorrow. Not expecting any snow here but might be surprised, like last time. Raining here again after a nice morning.

@stainesbloke LOL. I went for a run in Burnham Beeches this afternoon....felt far more difficult than the one in Black Park on Xmas Eve, after the last few days of indulge! Got to be done, its Xmas! Hope you had a good one? Enjoy what ever activity you decide on tomorrow......sledging? ??

Going on what other members are saying, DBs and WBs are going up and down faster than Katy Price's knickers. Again!

I think there are going to be a few surprises overnight. The ppn seems to be turning to snow in many locations NW of us ahead of schedule and the temps are definitely on the low side of what the GFS and other models have suggested as min  temps for this time.

In case you haven't got it, this is a great link for weather stations around the UK and some in Europe: http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/

Just got home after a hour drive up the A12. Dreadful conditions , heavy rain and spray.

Showing 7c here in Clacton  so still on the mild side.

There are now reports of snow north of Birmingham , think there will be more as we approach midnight.

Going to Lowestoft in the morning  so Iam hoping  East Anglia will miss out.

I live near Chelmsford Essex, but in a village called nounsly which is a bit rural.

Nice one. A lovely area that part of Essex near the coast. I spent the first 17 years of my life in the Braintree area.

Convergance now in action@rain-to-snow east wales west mids...

And im liking the pivot effect- a desirable picture unfolding as the system takes hold...

And nice exactions for cold air interact....

Edit:..

Highly likely rain to snow across good swath of region-next 7/8hrs..

And things look correct for cooling evaporation!!!

Plenty to note!

Everything seems to be moving ahead of schedule by a couple of hours according to the radar.

Its a shame that most of the heavy rain will have passed by the time it turns to snow.
