Hello Lawrenk - is it snowing in Hailsham.  I'm at work in Tunbridge Wells and our Manager comes from Heathfield... she will not want to be stuck Tunbridge Wells as she has come in on the bus.  Can you advise please.

Hi sidsnake

I am sorry, that was my pathetic attempt at humour in order to keep my spirits up!

Driving will be fine, apart from all the surface water. We are down for snow later, and Heathfield is a bit higher up but unlikely to settle I’d have thought.

Heavy rain turned to Heavy sleet in Locksbottom.Has heavy snow from 9am-3pm on bbc weather app but seems a little unlikely atm. We shall see but it would have to come down at a fair rate if it was to settle. Not impossible as i remember a January day this year that was very similar to today with heavy rain till about 4.30pm and then the place turned white in 15mins so there is hope.

Sleety mix now here in Tunbridge Wells. When I woke up at 6.30 the MetO were only forecasting light snow for me at 3PM - now it seems we may have heavy snow from midday though I would have thought there was zero chance of it settling. Just shows how incredibly hard it is to forecast snow.

Considering I'm a motorcycle courier, staying home today seems a wise call seeing as my day is spent around Surrey, south and east London. Do not want to be caught out if the weather turns wintery!

Seems to be turning sleety in NW London. Still lots of snow / slush on the pavements. Can see a bigger risk of ice tomorrow morning!

I know right...walking my kids to the  school bus was bloody awful this morning, horizontal rain, its stupid windy out, i said to my eldest if it was cold enough this rain would hve been heavy snow and would have caused an awesome snow blizzard with massive snow drifts...

Am proper gutted all we got was rain, again.

5 Years now and fed up with chaing snow.

Im in the southeast Kent on Romney Marsh.

The joys of Marsh weather, yesterday a southerly gale with a bucket full of rain and today a north-easterly gale with a bucket full of rain, the temperature is dropping this morning down from 6c at 5am to 3.5c now but it's just making the rain colder.

It’s very ‘trying’ Pure!

Am in Reigate town centre now and there are a small amount of slushy accumulations on the parked cars!

Yes, beat me to the punch there! I guess some potential interest at Junction 8 at some point but not sure I’m committed enough to sit on that roundabout!

Down the road in Horley (54m asl) it is sleeting with a grim determination.

I have heavy snow forecast too. Unfortunately no chance of settling due to the ground being so wet :sorry:
