Met going for the front tomorrow being more west than previously expected with precipitation covering the herts/beds area east. They think it’s a lot more marginal than today with snow reserved for higher elevations. Chilterns/Luton and Dunstable mentioned as possible areas with further accumulation

So the same places that got snow today yet again get more, while those places that missed out do so again..

On the met office app it shows the winds here coming from the north later on tonight amd tomorrow morning. Could this mean any ppn falling could fall as snow?

OK, this is just getting ridiculous now BBC! :fool:

The forecast for my area has now changed to this....

Snow for most of the day? :cc_confused:

I'm telling you, not even the BBC know what tomorrow will bring!

All to play for I say! :)

They're based purely on weather model data, there isn't any human input to them so they change as often as the models do.

Well, down here in SW London it was cold slushy, constantly switching between rain and snow, however it was nice to see the gritters out for the first time in many years yesterday evening.

Advice to some on here - don’t take the BBC/Met Office app weather forecasts too literally. It’s computer generated with raw model output data with no human input. It’s good as a general indication but shouldn’t be relied upon to give you a completely accurate forecast hour by hour.

Please note that the conference was only covering beds as that is where I am a first responder so anywhere east of that area with elevation may see some of the white stuff to ?

I'm not don't normally look at them, however sound far too marginal for us down here. I'm going to assume with out checking that rain band is a warm front. The will not help in any way down here.

Can someone pls help met office ap says rain for my location in Nutley but then just 1 mile down the road at wych cross it has it as heavy snow. I do not want another cold wet day. And the bbc app has me for snow so I’m so confused.

Tom, I’m in the same boat as you. Heavy rain all day in Hailsham, whilst Horam, 4 miles up the road at a similar altitude, is snow all the way.

One of those is wrong and I know what my money’s on!

Precipitation has just intensified unexpectedly near this area. Nice to see greens on the radar suddenly appear out of nowhere.

Still snowing, having started at 3am.  It's got quite light a few times but it's never really stopped.  I'm guessing my 14.5cm will have increased to about 15 by now, so that "unofficial" accumulation map is right in that regard.
