Looks like the mild sector has now left our shores. Sub zero 850’s all the way to the south coast.

Yep, just in time to coincide with no precipitation (Gatwick). Frustrating day down here.

Here on the South Downs we've had nothing but rain all day. I did pop down to the coast where it was dramatic with all the wind, nasty day to be on a ferry. However temps have dropped from 8c to 1c with more PPN on the way so you never know.

I run a company supplying online ordering for restaurants in London & they've all called up today to shut their deliveries as it's snowing too much....just to rub it in

Marginal but just cleared the ‘line’ pretty impressive 850hPa temps only -1C or -2C at most shows you do not need spectacularly cold uppers far from it.

Snow seems to have stopped here in City of London. Not sure about at home in Southend, Essex though. Met Office forecasting more snow for both areas today, especially Southend.....do we think they’re right?

Some forecasts now have me down for sleety rain, outrage. TBH what is falling seems to be melting the laying snow :(

Need another few inches to get that all important snow day off.

We have snow forecast from 6-10, heavy from 6-8. How accurate is this? Can’t see it myself!

Looking at the radar they’ll be a fair bit more to come however light stuff. Unless it reintensifies itself I see it doing that on the northern extent Manchester seeing moderate/heavy snow so I’m reading.
