I’m not sure what to do for the best, need to do an anti clockwise drive Surrey to Blackheath at 4pm, reports of rain, snow gridlock, or just plain nothing...think i’ll risk! ⛄️

It’s snowed pretty much non stop in Shenfield since 7am. We’ve got maybe 10cm so far? Temp is 1.5c with -1 dp. Still coming down pretty hard now..

Settling on roofs in Gillingham but that’s about it.

Have to say I’m touch concerned if the forecasted temp drop comes off overnight, will be an ice rink tomorrow

Interesting temperature drop. The colder air is moving back into SE Kent.

is south east England 5cm tomorrow ?:D

The rain isn't making it over the northern north downs though. Looks to be dry and cold soon. Is there a chance for anything tomorrow. I'm thinking no.

Tomorrow will be interesting here.

Monday night could well be the coldest night of the winter

-7c will be widespread I think poss -10c

I think that's conservative. Frost hollows in this part of the world could get even lower than that, would not be surprised to see a -15c in the Midlands.

Temp still falling

6.0 @ 12.27

5.3 @ 12.48

4.2 @ 1.38

3.6 @ 2.06

Eyes to the West on the radar at the moment and fingers crossed.

True enough , light winds, snow covered ground and the nights don’t get much longer than this

Looks like that's probably it for today now here; been lucky really, it snowed for about 2 hours this morning giving a covering of about 4cm. Enough for a decent snowball fight with the kids anyway.

Hopefully the places that didn't get any today will soon do so in the days and weeks ahead; plenty of winter to go.

Looks like the mild sector has now left our shores. Sub zero 850’s all the way to the south coast.

Why? So you think the precipitation will be too far to the south. This time we must hope it comes a bit further north.
