That wind!! It’s so strong, someone’s shed was blown across their garden ( we were driving past in the car). Gusts must be around 65mph? Much much stronger than forecast.

Orpington north west Kent at 97m temp peaked at 1.3 30 mins ago.. now at 1.1

and I just noticed a gritterr spreading loads - thoughts?

I'm surprised we didn't get more snow - I know it was always going to be marginal for us, and our chances increased with every run yesterday but at my elevation (112m), it's usually a very sweet spot. Even now, it's just drizzle!

After a brief flirtation with wet, sleety snow, we are now back to the bog-standard sleety rain...What an 'orrible day!:D

Still snow here, but, by the sound of it, we'll be back to sleet shortly.

Virtualluy no wind at all here.  Incredible contrasts either side of the frontal system.

What's happening tomorrow?

It says we are set to get snow all day tomorrow:)

Who’s it? Met office says chance of snow 2-5cm above about 100m in morning but that’s about it

Forecast yesterday said rain but we're over 8cm in this part of London and still coming down. Best snow event here since 2010. There were no gritters out last night from what I could see and unsurprisingly cars unable to make it up Barnet Hill/Meadway are been abandoned.

Very very light snow falling

What a morning = best event in 4 years...

Rain this morning, then sleet and now snow in south Norwich. Some sticking but mostly mush on the roads etc but temp dropped from 2c to 1c so hopefully a downward trend. If this lot freezes tonight it will be ice skating tomorrow.

Yeah same for my neck of the woods. BBC unexpectedly showing light and heavy snow for me tomorrow. Did that come out of nowhere?

No, it's been mentioned for a few days.

A health warning though, anyone below 100m it will be mostly rain.
