Still coming down at a fair rate! Love how plants take on a completely different form when snow covered. Magical!

I think I can upgrade the snow here to moderate with decent sized flakes now. A centimetre or two on the ground now.

I am happy for everyone who has woken up to the best snow event since 2013 and to think we haven't even reached Christmas yet.

Hi guys! first post! been snowing nicely since 7:50 here in canary wharf! Stoppped for a bit like 20 min ago with smaller flakes and now seems to have picked up a bit again! Hopefully it will stay like this all day as winds change to east

The low is just south of Cardiff now.. Met office still saying snow later.. Maybe we need to get the low south of us before more snow

Yes, that's always a killer for our snow hopes in these marginal setups. Where's that Easterly we ordered?

Winter wonderland here in West Cambs. Had a horrible feeling the snow wouldn’t make it here and end of stalling to the south of us somewhere, but I can finally wear some snow boots I bought four years ago.

Left the house in Leigh-on-Sea at 7.30am just as the rain was transitioning to heavy snow. Onshore wind having an effect there as I’m now on the train into London and the South Essex corridor all the way along the Thames from Benfleet to West Ham (so far) is experiencing heavy snowfall and decent settling. Will be interested to see whether anything has stuck in Leigh when I get back this evening.

Working in the City all day and bizarrely the forecast is better - heavier snow and lower temps than Leigh, and all for longer. So I might do better for snow in the City believe it or now.

We’ll see though, looks like today will be a very marginal “nowcasting” type of day!
