In the space of 8mins everything has gone from wet to white in Locksbottom and very heavy snow.Whats it like in New Ash Green Steve as we are only about 90m asl.Think elevation will make a big difference.

Steve I hope you don’t mind me asking but when you decided to move to your new home did you factor in elevation ? :D

I think we all know the answer to that!!!!

Stayed with friends in Chesham Bois last night! Was knife edge if we’d see any. Going back to SE1 this morning, where we haven’t had a decent covering since 02/02/2009, if we can get to the station. Glad I’ve seen some today ❄️❄️❄️⛄️⛄️⛄️??

Been raining steadily here since I woke up at 5am, dewpoint has dropped from 2 to -0.2 in the last hour and starting to see some sleet mixed in with the rain now. Come on SNOW I have a 3 year old who is yet to experience proper snow and quite frankly I want to get out there too :yahoo:

extremely light snow or sleet to the point where you can barely see it for only about 2 minutes yet settling on rooftops, now i'm very confused because i thought it was rain until i saw it on the neighbours roof!

Loads of snow in Bedford and it's still chucking it down. There must be three inches at least so far.

This is exciting, an instant dusting of whatever is falling on some surfaces outside. Still struggling to make out what the hell it is though.. Hopefully when the slightly heavier stuff comes in it'll 100% be snow instead of "wintry stuff"

Just now, Surrey said:

Same as here, what an absolute delight, very surprised now we are the right side of marginal lets hope we can maintain some of the PPN

It's absolutely hammering it down here in Englefield Green, massive flakes and I've not seen it snow this heavily since 2010. Everything covered, roads included. Enjoy it mate, is it the same in Thorpe?

who else feels like a big kid , keep running up to the window and checking it’s still snowing , or opening that door just to get that feeling of coldness and snow on the face , well I most certainly do ⛄️❄️?

I think what’s helped is here it’s not very windy as expected so not so much mixing

now the snows in should it stay as snow for the whole time or is it likely to change back to rain?

hope bbc weather app is wrong and outdated.Has heavy snow for next hour, then 2 hours heavy rain and then snow from midday snow again!!Alot of the snow would have melted if that happens.Hope it changes soon.

Top on the list of demands !

Had to be above 150M - would have been going bananas in Greenithe now !

You’re my hero! :D

I did exactly the same thing here, even though I’ve got the mountains close by it’s always nice to see snow falling in your back garden.

I remember you were hacked off about your previous home because it was like 3 feet above sea level!

Very sleety in Leigh On Sea

Just some slushy mess on the grass at the moment, nothing to get excited about, and hopefully can drive further afield today to find some proper sledging snow - Woohoo
