Well I have been up since about 5am and it just doesn't seem to have stopped. Went out in the garden about an hour ago to find the bird seed bowls and water (ice) and left footprints, and drew a happy smily face (the big kid in me). No evidence of them now. Radar is showing us under rain, and has been for a while now, but I can definitely say it's not rain. Getting quite blustery at times too. A proper, icy, winter wonderland

Sounds like its been raining for a fair while but just looked out of the window to see its turned to heavy snow!

7.44am and after heavy rain at 6.30 now full transition to heavy snow and just started to settle on roof tops and grass here in Locksbottom.Pleasent surprise and it must be evap cooling taking place here.If it continues at this rate it is possible we may even have a decent covering.Think anyone in home counties North of river are going to get best covering for a number of years.Good luck to everyone on the forum-We have waited long enough for this !!
