Showers coming into the crawley/sussex area frontal edge is turning to Snow

That must be some showers before the main course tomorrow... but I'll keep the curtains open to see what they do in this part of Surrey none the less!

Slight fluctuation in temps here in The Medway Valley, rose as that cloud came through but that now has dispersed they have dipped slightly.

Though I expect temps to rise over the next 6 hours.

I hate knife-edge snow events....they are sure to disappoint, seen too many end up wet non events... they are the weather equivalent of a bit of "Brewer's", disappointing for all involved :(

Slightly insulting but okay, if you insist.

Not referring to you nick in particular, its just that the weather presenters on the TV, and Met Office, just read the script don't they? In my day they were weather forecasters in the real sense, and its not just in this country that its changed for the worst, trust me.

Good luck everyone - let's hope it isn't too frustrating where the snow falls  with snowy skies but wet ground!

Gotta have faith for our area BA!

Ah fair enough. Some of them are presenters with a basic weather background yes. Some are genuine meteorologists though (Phil Avery for example, and as much as I'm not a fan of his presenting style, Tomasz Schafernaker).

1-1 draw earlier! About right imo. We were better in 1st half, you certainly second half. Hopefully we both share the snow tomorrow too!

Thought we let you off second half, but first half you should have at least scored a second! I did quite enjoy the late equaliser. Were you there today?

Good luck everyone tomorrow, in what looks like a risk of snow shifting south to cover more of our area. I'll be at work at Heathrow tomorrow, so be interesting if there is some snow or whether it stays further north.

Anyone noticed the frontal wave feature running along the south early Thursday gets undercut by cold air from NW to bring a snow risk for our area according to GFS:

I wasn't aware that he is actually a fully-qualified meteorologist.

I was there! Bloody freezing, frost in one goalmouth. Yeah we were hanging on towards the end, last few weeks has taken its toll and you certainly went for it!

These BBC forcasts do my head in.

On the 20:55 just now she's got a temp displayed as 0c and all the precip is blue, so rain! But then when she runs it forward the temperature increases but there's now a fair bit of white, so snow!

We are less than 12hrs away and neither us, or the "experts" seem to have any clue if we're getting rain or snow:rofl:

The MetO cover longer forecasts on YouTube which are very good. Search for Met Office - Weather, subscribe and click on the bell symbol to get daily forecasts delivered to your email account

Funny old world but it was supposed to be clear with temperatures well below freezing, but it is currently cloudy and not particularly cold woth temperatures comfortably above freezing (still 2c which is the same as it was by late afternoon) with no real sign of any clear skies coming this way.

It was cold wasn't it! I was struggling to keep warm. An enjoyable game, however, and hopefully like you said we both get snow!

BBC just updated with "Heavy Snow" at 10 tomorrow morning for my area. :)

That correlates to what the HIRLAM is showing! :whistling::rofl:

Hey! I can dream! :p
