Mum use to take us up every time is snowed and we could get there, always felt ten times deeper up there than down the bottom. Leith hill is a little more tricky because all the roads are single track and it's a bit of a trek on foot from the nearest main road.

Yes one year we were up there (think Jan this year actually?) sledging and looking down on the green fields from the viewpoint, lol!  Yes wouldn't risk Leith Hill, much harder to get to!x

Maybe the mods could split this thread into three counties as per last year?

as south east takes in to much area

Thanks Jason

It's an idea but I've quite enjoyed all the chat from all areas today, personally.

If the 18z goes south then we are laughing

If it does go South it will only be by 50 miles or so and could be 50 miles North. Unless there is a dramatic shift, which in this timescale is highly unlikely, you will be wet until later in the day/Monday IMO.

@Nick The UK chart you showed earlier, does the Euro 12z support or superseed that?

The little snow showers on the radar seem to be appearing out of nothing, Temperature had dipped to around 0.5 - 0.8 C , has risen a bit to 1.4 degrees, Moister air must be on the way.

I’ve noticed that popped up over London. We’re better together! It used to be like in the past...

Isn`t it a sad affair that we have to think about being on top of a mountain in the UK to try and experience snow. Zilch mountains in NW Essex so it is what it is lol

Driving along the A47 from Norwich to Peterborough tomorrow morning could be very interesting!

EDIT leith hill is nearly 1000ft  above sea level.. BLIMEY I didn't know that On top of the tower it must be (964ft to be precise)

i've been up to leith hill a few times with the family and the dog. never been in the snow though, i might take them up there if it does snow. deeper the better!

For fun, the UKV 15z snow accumulations from 06:00 to 12:00 tomorrow, 18z should be with us in half an hour or so...

Pretty much clean and green for Norfolk then bar the far west. Oh well, seems like a muddy dog scenario for me then haha

Wouldnt really attempt Leith hill in the snow though unless you got the right vehicle etc the roads are not exactly easy to navigate at the best of times lol!
