I'm finding the uncertainty exciting and excruciating :D

So glad I'm not at work this weekend, I can just enjoy/despair at the madness.

It was certainly a busier Saturday shift than usual today, thankfully off tomorrow!

I'm off up to Scotland to give training sessions on Monday. If all else fails I can have a trip to the mountains :D

Its a funny cold spell this, it is saying 7 degrees for my neck of the woods tomorrow lol

There is going to be a very sharp temperature gradient tomorrow. Just up the road could be barely above freezing.

Interesting.

For tonight we have got a lot of heavy rain. On BBC it is saying the temp will be zero at 11pm and then it will warm to 4 degrees by 5 am.

I am hoping that is wrong and it doesn't warm up. Would love to wake up in the morning and see settled snow.

It looks like the system is already turning to snow in the south west.

Unexpected maybe ??

Kent county council gritted A, B and some smaller but more busier residential roads around Planet Thanet about an hour ago. Temperature has dropped from 4.6 degrees to now 1.9 in about an hour

Is that the Home and Dry app? That's the one made by who I work for haha!

But it's based on model data rather than actual observations. It's a "best guess" if you like.

Do you have access to the new Met Office doppler radar that shows actual snow falling rather than just model based predictions?

They happily told the public on twitter about it earlier, then later mentioned it not for public use.

Gone are the days of having to wait half an hour for the Met Office radar to update. I love having 5 minute updates, it makes tracking things so, so much easier!
