The sort of snow chart that really winds us SE contingent up. All together now....

?Snow to the north of us, snow to south here I am, stuck in the middle with rain?

Highly unlikely track IMO.

GFS has the most northern track ECM & UKMO are about 100 miles further S the fax charts shows the low exiting SE England one can speculate GFS version is not what the MetO anticipate.

Check out the BBC weather forecast and you will be surprised what is being shown in parts of the SE on Friday......SNOW :D

Tonight's GFS 18Z is agreeing with the MetO's snow forecast for parts of the SE tomorrow :)

This means the Cheshire Gap Streamer will be amplified :hi:

What do you reckon about Monday’s predicted snow risk yamps

hoping it won’t turn out like everything else in the south.

always a downgrade from 4 or 5 days out.

That forecast is outdated now. The latest weather for the week ahead is much more conservative on snow for our region.

When the north wind doth blow

we shall have rain

when the east wind has a go

we always get snow

ENE for the win down here - These Outbreaks from the NW very rarely give us the goods.

2nd December 2010 last time we had the optimum wind direction with -15c Uppers.

34cm of level snow and 28 hours of continuous snow in SE Essex

One/Two of them type of events where we won't know till it actually gets going. Its as simple as that IMO, odds are many of us will miss out but the odds on missing out are always the form horse sadly.

Bit like last week where some had a nice surprise, others didn't it, some expected, some didn't.

My odds for here (imby) to see falling snow using my tiny knowledge as it stands currently:-

Fri 10%, Sun/Mon 35%

On Monday night when I posted about my eyes on Sunday more than Friday, I had Sunday at 55% so I'm a little disappointed at this stage but I'll keep the faith for now

I remember it! It came up to my knees! Never seen snow like that In this part of the world, was born 1991 so was going through mild winters growing up, then 2010 hit and I was in complete shock!

The latest BBC forecast have it firmly a northern event.

Even with a southerly correction I doubt it would snow in London, more sleety rain mixture at best.

I'm hopeful tomorrow we will see a couple of stray showers.

Doesn’t appear firmly a northern event to me, more a middle England event snowfall isn’t far off from London area 50-100 mile shift S and most of us are in it. I’m discounting GFS track instead backing fax charts.

Tomasz also said that the snow track is still uncertain and this could be further North or South

Yes I remember it well. The year I moved out of Essex ~ Southend, to Hertfordshire after living in Essex for nearly 40 years, and we hardly got any where I moved to. I can feeling very jealous hearing all these reports from back from Al my friends and family saying what I was missing ?.. And so next year people in Herts area after march you could be lucky as I will be moving again. Cornwall this time so I will see what that brings me down there ?
