Just been for a half hour jog and thought it strange that there are branches down around here, not even that windy.:unsure2:

Only one run, but the low is a lot further north on the 18z.

We can never catch a bloody break down here haha! Those northern neanderthals have been gloating in the model thread.

Not going to lie if it's not going to move south far enough I would be highly amused if it ended up too far north.

Just kidding, probably :D

Think its to make room on server cause its busy. Otherwise it may crash.

Think the wind might be around 50 now.

Yes, was nice seeing Nick Miller painting some snow showers/flurries reaching London and the SE of England Friday.

18z GFS hints at similar too

Saw snow last Thursday, snow likely this Friday, shaping up a reasonable start to winter so far ...

Still too much uncertainty to rule out snow for Sunday, as the low may still track further south then advertised. There is always a chance of snow in the northerly flow as the low clears Monday morning too.

Looking at the GEFS panel, doesn't look like much hope for a significantly more southerly track to me. But I suppose a small chance I suppose

Are those charts publicly accessible? If so, could I have a link to them please?

 Hi,

How many miles north or north west of London would you have to be to see snow if it tracks as depicted? I am hoping you will say not more than 60 miles!

Wendover Woods (highest point in the Chiltern) usually get some snow in similar setups. It should be half an hour drive once you reach the A41 if you live in north west london. Obviously no guarantee but it is a nice forest even if no snow is foud there. I will keep you updated about this during the next few days with regard to any snow cover in the Chilterns area.

Windy night here and still blowy, very mild at the moment too at 11C. Latest model output has most of our region getting rain rather than snow on Sunday but the northern part and areas with elevation would see some snow. Still time for this to change, of course, if the slider low moves S then our region will be snowy.

Sadly it looks as though yet again we miss out on all the fun. Whereas it might be beneficial to be here in summer, in winter, in these set ups it's pants. Northerlies seldom deliver. The northerners are gloating in the MOd thread. Very clicky know it als too. Annoying ....
