Someone is going to be in the hot spot Friday night & Saturday.

Could be some big totals if your in the firing line.

Would be nice to get some widespread snowfall across our region next week! Very unsure that will happen though, that bloody m4 corridor, I’m just slightly north of it and 150 meters above sea level, but still don’t think it’s gonna happen, all looks far too marginal

Another 50-100 mile shunt south for Sunday's front would be nice. Will pee on the northerners chips and curry sauce, but hey it's dog eat dog when it comes to snow :diablo:

Looks as if North Sea oil rigs'll be in for a right old pasting?

If it stays as it is, it could just touch the coast here like it did last week.

So cute! Better on a nice bed of white rather than that yucky wet concrete:)

Heads up already getting some big gusts here, from the southern draw. May be windier than expected, or moving through earlier perhaps.

With the angle pretty much the same i think your in with a good chance. If we can get a couple of little troughs running down in that flow and the -10 uppers on the GFS they could be a little bit better than last week.

Oh I'm torn.  Between wanting snow this weekend, as any normal nw member would or being a good Mother who ought to not want any snow as my son is moving house Saturday and driving from tiny village near Milton Keynes to Teddington in a van, then back Saturday evening, overnighting at his cottage (with the steepest drive in middle England) again driving back to London Sunday afternoon, having thoroughly cleaned it.

Decisions, decisions!

I see nothing in the way of snow potential in my area.  Poss a little on sunday.  It' at times like this I wish I lived in the north.  Been in the mod thread and find a lot of in by bias wrt snow possibilities.

I hope I am wrong though.

Lol! My husband is a self employed driving instructor who can't work when  the roads are snowy/icey so I shouldn't be wishing for it at all, lol! But I grew up on Boxhill in the snowy 80's so it was engrained into my fibre, lol!xx

I lived in Canada for some years when I was a teenager/young adult and the winters there were amazing.  Although I spent the first winter permanently terrified when driving, even with studded snow tyres.  I did get used to it, with the exception of the roads through the mountains between Vancouver and Kelowna, which were hair raising.  I was also living in Scotland during the memorable winters of 2009/10 and 2010/11 so I can't help wishing for snow.  Bad Mummy

Both the GFS and ECM have the low on the more southerly track. Just a few shifts south and we’ll be seeing snow on Sunday. Could this be our time at last?
