Looks like we need a 100 mile southerly correction to get in the game for Sunday (South London). Not impossible and with some evaporative cooling who knows!

Another cloudy day as it has for the past five days. The last time there was a sunny day was sometime last week.

Those charts are certainly looking better for the SE, very much borderline at times but still in with a shout. Monday evening looks like it could be interesting.

NetW-MR model highlights for Sunday’s slider a southern correction this is what we want to keep on seeing. North of London seem to be in the snow zone based on this mornings output.

Hubs tells me as he come in from taking the bin out that it is 'cold' out. I believe him . If hubs is cold it's cold. Wear cosy winter stuffs and sweat my weeble off. It ain't that cold. ok you need a coat but it was even warm enough to have to talk to OFSTED man without freezing. Man is only wearing a posh grey suit, feel over dressed.:cold-emoji::closedeyes:

Am now excited for christmas. Always prefer the run up rather than the day, and with snow on some forecasts, great.  This cloud is very seasonal.:ball-santa-emoji:

Very grey here too. I don't mind a day or two of it but I'd like to see the sun again now. Quite mild at 9C currently and light winds again.

Tbf to the MOD thread, there is definitely stuff to be getting excited about; it is going very cold and there will be snow this weekend, something the UK hasn't seen for a long time!! Especially in December!! However it's just that us poor southeaster's are being missed out yet again while the North get their snowmen, ggrrr!!! This is when I try to repeat my mantra "we get hotter summers.... we get hotter summers.... we get more sunshine..... we are lucky to live in the Southeast....." (note that I only TRY to repeat this mantra, lol!!!)

However I still feel confident that we could see further chances! It' only the start of winter and it's a fantastic cold northern hemisphere start to winter! If this was February and our last chance of a marginal event before it flipped back to mild/early spring then I may be replicating one of my three year old's tantrums but we've still lots to play for in a synoptically good situation!!!!xx

Not over exited though, we simply will never know exactly where the slider will be till it's happening, that goes for both that are currently showing. They are now cast events. You'll know roughly about 12 hours before, but just a few miles of movement in any direction makes a huge difference. I am watching with interest, but I won't get exited till I see snow falling. The east was to warm still last week, has it cooled down enough yet, is a question I'm asking my self.

Major shift south west on the GFS 6z that's rolling out now, this is what us south Easters want ;)

Incredible how much things can change each run, safe to say it's a forecasters nightmare.

There's going to be a few disappointed posters when this changes again in 6 hours time!

Not expecting any, so I won't.:santa-emoji:

Only spoke to the man in the suit as a parent. Felt like telling him how crisp the suit looked and how becoming the big white sticker on it looked. :reindeer-emoji:

Massive correction South for Sunday!  Lovely to see but that was a huge shift - at this point it will be in southern France by Sunday :fool:

Poor old North West if that happens, having seemed to be in the prime position up until now.

I might even be OK in Hailsham based on that chart.

What’s the betting though that it keeps correcting south to the extent that even I’m too far north!
