It has been sunny and calm so far today. Hopefully this will continue.

Quite a contrast across our region today. Utterly vile here, looks lovely where you are, satellite shows that up well.

Indeed, not too bad here at all.

Bitter drizzle, cold air. Eurgh.  But it makes putting the heating on and snuggling up so much more rewarding.

Been a bright sunny day here, wind was a bit chilly first thing but that died down, so not a bad autumn day, even managed a cut of the grass in new house, ready for the move :)

It's been a thoroughly dismal day here with mid morning drizzle turning to steady persistent rain all afternoon and into this evening. I loathe days like this :(

Had to scrap the car again this morning, don’t know what the temp went down to last night, but zero degrees when I left for dog walk at half 7 :cold: still the sun is shining, the ground was nice and solid, so no dirty paws, can’t complain :D

A week ago, everyone was looking at this week coming with potential for cold conditions to persist, oh the joys of late Autumn, now more like early spring weather with possible 16c here in Norfolk!

Third frost of the autumn here this morning, lovely and sunny too and currently 3c. Don't mind too much if we have some wind and rain over the next couple of weeks, would rather get that out the way now than in Jan/Feb when there's a better chance of snowfall sticking if it falls!

Another beautiful day here after a good ground frost (getting very close to an air frost). Wonderful satellite image this morning showing our Region in sunshine, cumulus streaming down the North Sea but staying out to sea and not clipping our east coast, and the swirl of Low Pressure off the NW of Scotland:

And for info, here's last night's overnight lows for EA:

After yesterdays dreich here, today was a big improvement with just over 5 hours of sunshine, barely a breeze and a max of 8.5c. Ideal conditions to sample the culinary delights at the Hastings Herring Fair.

All change again this week it seems, and a mention of something thundery for the south on the Countryfile forecast later in the week ?

As you say, quite an improvement. Already down to +1C over here, so another air frost seems imminent...

Seems a bit extreme?

A bit of frost and you’ve decided to replace your car.

Down here Pete I'm still yet to record an air frost this autumn, been some fairly close calls but it looks like I'll avoid one for the next few days at least.

The cat has come out the closet must mean one thing winter is drawing in fast! Sure is a foul start to the day wet and mild -replacing the cold conditions of yesterday. It seems it will not be around for long, with the possibility of something much colder even a flake of snow I would not rule out. :)

It was 0.7c in my garden last night at 12:15am when I went to bed, then was 6.7c when I left for work only 6.5hrs later, and raining (still is)

It does look like this mild spell this week is shorter than first thought only a couple of days ago going off the models, I think we going to see a good start to winter this year for a change, with snow in are area in December :)

O ye, of little faith. I’ve ordered a red woolly hat.

I haven’t really, I’m made of hard stuff... your coat would look divine with a white backdrop. :D
