Wind really starting to pick up here had a few wheely bin casualties this morning already, speed of the gusts has really picked up though as the place was rattling.

Out of now where it just tipped it down for about 5 seconds! The wind is really starting to increase now too.

Not as wild as Monday here (atm), but still some pretty strong gusts coming through. A not unusual autumn/winter gale.

winds not too strong here at the moment, but warning out for gale force in connaught, ulster coasts, stormforce for munster coasts. Id day some very strong squalls in showers. Pressurr 983.5mb rising , was 976.0 at 08:00hrs. Im guessing it was lower overnight when storm brian was passing over Ireland. Winds blowing fresh to strong north west.

OH insisting it's over and finished here at Gatwick. We have had some rain, quite a hefty shower about 20 minutes ago. We shall wait and see!

The occasional wave breaking the harbour wall down on Shore Rd which will make Karol’s and his family happy. Meanwhile down at the harbour entrance some waves lapping the wall top giving some cars a rinse..

Freshwater West, West Wales. High tide 8am this morning, this was about as high as the tide got. A lot cooler in the wind down there than it was with Ophelia! Consistent gusts 40-50mph on the coast.

Unlike Tenby where a freak wave ripped the harbourmasters office doors off !!!

Consistent gusts here now 45-55mph

disruption in Ireland, flooding in Limerick quays, flooding in Cork, trees down in Waterford. Go to rte web page. Quite calm here in Galway at the moment. Counties Kerry, Clare, Kilkenny also affected, flooding and high winds.

What i don't get is why there's a open circle of rain moving around the center of this storm, certainly not normal english storm looks more tropical. However at least its not all that strong. However i expect the strong gusts and sustained winds in this storm will be in that circle of rain.

Aberystwyth taking a pounding again.

Capel Curig is top of the leader board for wind gusts at  70 mph. I can confirm it's a tad breezy here as my bins have gone up the lane for a nice walk again this morning.
