I'm pretty sure the sky turning yellow is the met office trying out a new warning system after some backlash.

Looking forward to my trip to #Ireland

Starting to cloud over here now. Feels like the mean wind speed has dropped slightly, with the occasional lull. Gusts seem fewer and less hearty.

Ooops! Spoke too soon. Wind is picking up again with bits of rain. Sun still trying to peek through.

The Jetty at Porthcawl is always one to behold, especially with its little lighthouse on the end.

It almost never gets the worst of any weather that's about, but it's often spectacular because it acts as a breakwater protecting the beach nearby (at low tide, you can walk the expanse between the two)

Thought id share the effects Ophelia has had on the weather today just outside London . Pictures from earlier today to now , a steady wind is blowing but nothing of course in comparison to what is happening in Ireland , stay safe everyone .

Well we now have ( 3.30ish) the very red Sun in the South East Kent, sky is a bit yellow but nothing like everyone else to the west of me have experienced.

it's a bit breezy but nothing exciting at all. Gutted I've missed all the decent weather tbh.
