I'm pretty sure the sky turning yellow is the met office trying out a new warning system after some backlash.

Looking forward to my trip to #Ireland

The fog rolled in here again and it's a real yellow split pea souper. I'm behind a blanket of yellow fog! And I'm getting frit! Very little wind to speak of. Not too cold outside, but I can see my breath. Current elevation 600 ft, visibility nope, rain stopped.

Looks like the winds have peaked for Cork. Focus now on rest of Munster and S. Leinster and Galway

Given that the winds were to be at their worst around Co Cork, it doesn't look as bad as some thought then?

A few trees down and minimal power outages.

Edit: Just saw post about a casualty & January Snowstorm's post, obviously it is bad then.

Even up here in co. Durham (NE England) the sky has a very slight tinge to it and its just all foggy looking.  Really strange.   Very very still aswell...  Also noticed a touch burning smell from them fires

I can also report a creepy orange sun here, Its been sunset colour since first thing this morning!

This is what a post-nuclear-war climate might look like. I mean, after the soot's cleared. Positively surreal.
