Was a very strange sky this morning yellow and red sun so quite high up,thundery looking earlier too.

It is really dusty here in London, sky is a weird colour. Must be that Saharan sand stuff

Given that the winds were to be at their worst around Co Cork, it doesn't look as bad as some thought then? 

A few trees down and minimal power outages.

Edit: Just saw post about a casualty & January Snowstorm's post, obviously it is bad then.

Even up here in co. Durham (NE England) the sky has a very slight tinge to it and its just all foggy looking.  Really strange.   Very very still aswell...  Also noticed a touch burning smell from them fires

Been yellow here in Coventry for hours. Now its turned an eerie red, with nothing but a light breeze on the ground as the clouds aloft zoom by.

Looking on Wunderground, most stations to the west of Cork are not reporting - I'm guessing they are out of electricity
