I see Aberdaron just down the Llyn is topping the list at 60mph. It's getting pretty gusty here too at 719' inland. I expect to see Capel Curig making an entry into the top 10 soon.

The winds here are very strong now, stronger than I anticipated tbh, with sheets of 'heavy drizzle' (as I call it).

The wind has ramped up significantly in the last hour or so - 52mph gust at Worthing Pier.

Very windy here now. Not sure about actual numbers, but it must be around about the 40mph mark. I think it might also be raining too, so not quite Irma, but it is something.

Suddenly getting rather blowy in south London now,  replacing old fence panels in the garden that have historically come loose in high winds was on my list to do this month, didn't expect gales to arrive so early in autumn, so been caught out. Can here the fences creaking ready to blow out already, hammer out in the morning I think ...

gust of 69mph at the Needles tops so far, though a very exposed site in the English Channel.

Pretty breezy down here. I'm inland and out of the warning areas and have just recorded a 39mph. St catherines point IOW have 51 mph gusts and very strong gusts in the Severn estuary as well as south coast. A lively night for anyone on the SW flank of the low
