The Great American Eclipse... Photos & video

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm not sure which category this topic fits into, so I'm just posting here.

nearly 2 weeks ago, I & my family traveled to Greenville, South Carolina, USA (from Florida) to see the total solar eclipse of August 21st, 2017. The event was spectacular and awe-inspiring. Photos and videos do not give away the incredible feeling of seeing it in real life.

A few minutes after the partial eclipse begun. Image taken through solar eclipse glasses.

Just a few minutes left by this point..

Watched the event from Wyoming, not a cloud in the sky, perfect conditions with the altitude the air was clear and still, even cool as the eclipse reached totality, with a 360degree sunset clearly visible.

Yes, the 360 degree sunset effect was fascinatingly beautiful.

I'm useless with cameras and didn't have a tripod so just stuck mine on the roof of the car :D Amazing how quickly it got dark...
