That's a great link, thank you. Where did you find it ?

I quoted someone else's post.

The webcam's not showing Key West any more (the chat is saying Islamorada, further up the Keys).

That siren.

Thats either a tornado or storm surge warning, could also be an eye wall warning in this case, as i think it heading straight for them. I would be scared right now if i was there.

Last report was it would make land somewhere below Talehasse.

Edit but frankly who knows. It's moved a fairly long way west already.

One storm chaser says he's thinking  Sarasota will be landfall.

I don't understand why they expect her to go back down to category 3 before landfall. Any explanation about this?

Hoping that it will or trying to keep people calm, as i don't see any chance of it weakening. Looks like it intensifying on radar.

Nah, not an illusion, definitely a loop being played back and forth a few times.

That clip is just a loop and has been doing the rounds here and elsewhere for several days.

Our Buoy in Key West currently recording water at about 2,6 ft above normal, though that doesn't include the wave heights (which will be considerable under those winds)

People posting streams from facebook need to open the stream from the page of the user before copying and pasting the link.

All you're pasting is the link to the facebook live map.

Just trying to be helpful. :)

This Bearded guy!

Asking for nudes from women in exchange for taking his shorts off. Not the sort of hurricane coverage i was expecting TBH.

He go them though!

Louise Leah on the Beeb forecast at 11am talked about the possibility of this scenario she also said that it would could stay out at sea for around 4 days before moving west towards Florida but highlighted great uncertainty , she also said it also could enter colder waters and largely dissipate .

As day breaks, the sea appears to be drawing right out on Sanibel Island (South of Captiva)

This is probably because it's low tide... but this stretch of coast, if I recall, is expected to receive some nasty surge later.

Also,

Key West: What a way to see the dawn break: under the eye of a record breaking atlantic hurricane!

I forsee it making landfall on the mainland as a category 2/3 a weak category 4 for the keys, storm surge perhaps the bigger concern.

Not a bad call!...
