It's bizarre, isn't it? What could possibly be causing it to move in that direction? It makes no sense.

I'm going to make a call - Irma won't make landfall in Florida at all, forecast is completely wrong.

Could be friction-energy 'holding' Irma in place along the Cuban coastline, I was expecting the turn to have started occurring at least 3 hours ago.

It could be the trough interaction to the north or sheer to the NW looking at the loop.

radar is strange - almost looks like it stalled, and progressing directly north now - in reality though just the eyewall changes I suspect as she drifts west still ..

Irma is re-curving back wsw into Cuba on the latest,La habana could be affected with the latest path.

infact it looks to have stalled quiet a bit,who knows what track she will take,place your bets.

FL coming into darkness now so not much to see,hopefully not too much damage if at all from irma come the morning.
