There are people on Facebook live in Anguilla streaming. 2 of which are Americans trapped in a hotel on the North East coast aka the worst place to be.

Looking horrendous with "Hector" on St Barts but he's hanging on.

Any news from Barbuda yet?

None. Which is ominous.

but given the pictures out of St Barts, etc and Barbuda got hit harder, its understandable.

Supposedly people are going to the island at first light, which is around now so the first news should be available in a few hours.

Amazing consistency from the GFS if you compare the 0z with the 6z!

Overall though the track is further east today compared to 24 hours ago.

I can't see how this hasn't got the capability of sustaining category 5 throughout. Nobody predicted that this would explode into devastating 180-185mph winds at such short notice, and the forecasters were calling GFS out about how it wouldn't be realistic.. they were wrong! If this monster is moving into ares with higher SST's and stays away from Cuba, then this has catastrophe written all over it from my view.

Terrible news for Miami if that verifies.

Irma doesn't quite make landfall in Miami on the latest GFS, just barrels between Bahamas and Florida before making landfall, still as a severe Hurricane, further north. Saying that, even at this distance out, analysing a few hundred miles east or west is pointless. Miami is still very much in the firing line.

If anyone is looking for live feeds from the islands, this facebook live map is good, you can zoom in to the area and look at who is live on facebook (similar to the function on periscope)

Fascinating watching the power. The noise is horrendous.

If he doesn't check in, I'll guess he was wrong :(

Someone now in the eye. Dead calm. Again from Anguilla

Nope... can't find that one. It's not a direct link to the stream, and isn't showing on the map for me.

Yeah the eye one has gone off now. Unlike Periscope you cant look at the old streams. You have to catch them as they are up, and lots are quite quick as people are saving battery life. You cant blame them The one in the eye was from an apartment not far above sea level that was flooded. They had bags packed if they needed to leave and were concerned about the next eye wall. Looked grim.

Note that one died about an hour ago. Spectacular before it died though.
