Yep just raised to 110kts only 5 Kts from a cat 4 now. The next interim should push it to cat 4 just as he makes landfall.

I thought we needed 135mph for cat 4?

Also at current pace he might make it to the next main advisory. 60 miles from the coast at 10mph (plus we probably get a frictional jog before inertia pushes him over).

Just 7 KT off cat 4. Can't believe how quickly it's redeveloped from a remnant over the Yucatán the other day.

I can't believe it's forecast to move over into texas and almost reverse out on the exact same path, dumping everything it has over the texas coast.

Very worrying times ahead for Texans if the worst comes off with this. Haven't seen anything like this in a long time, maybe since typhoon Haiyan.

The eye should be making landfall shortly, recon aircraft measured an estimated 130 mph surface wind in the northern eyewall at 4.20pm Central Daylight Time!

Yes,a part of me wishes i was there to whitness a beast like this cos i like extreme weather but the other part doesn't.

Intensyfying storms produce lightening and tornados in the core, slow movement (friction with the coast) make it worse.
